Pradan Charitable Trust exists to keep Gujarati language, art, literature, music and cultural expression vibrant and relevant for the generations still arriving — not as an archive to be visited, but as a living practice to be joined.
Its work builds the lasting conditions for culture to thrive: mentoring new creators, building appreciative audiences, and fostering everyday pride in our language.

Kaladham is a working cultural ecosystem for Gujarati music, literature and performing arts — a place where raw talent is trained, legendary works are archived before they're lost, and the standards of live performance are quietly raised. Rehearsal spaces and a growing library give artists room to practise their craft.

Vatt Thi Gujarati works where the language is most at risk of going quiet — in schools, homes and family conversations. Through campaigns in Gujarat's major cities and home resources for parents, it makes speaking Gujarati something a young person chooses with pride.
Gujarati should not merely be preserved as a language of the past — it should be
experienced as a living language of today and tomorrow.
ગુજરાતી ભૂતકાળની ભાષા નહીં,
વર્તમાનની ધબકતી ભાષા છે.
Every programme the Trust runs sits somewhere on this chain — each link depending on the one before it, and building toward the one after.
Keeping Gujarati expressive, current and unafraid of everyday use across homes and schools.
Encouraging music, literature, theatre, dance and creative expression in the mother tongue.
Supporting emerging creators and connecting them with seasoned master practitioners.
Creating meaningful, unforced cultural experiences that young people choose with pride.
Building audiences who warmly appreciate and actively take part in Gujarati culture.
Creating sustainable systems so cultural continuity outlasts any single generation.
Preservation isn't only about storing old songs, books and recordings safely away. A language and its arts stay alive the same way they always have — through people who keep using them, out loud, together, in everyday life.
Understanding what has been passed down, and what is at risk of being lost.
Helping families, schools and communities see the language as it truly is.
Turning awareness into speaking, singing, performing and everyday use.
Supporting new work — new songs, new writing, new artists coming forward.
Building structures that carry this forward well beyond any one campaign.
Every part of this vision runs through someone — an artist rehearsing, a parent choosing Gujarati at the dinner table, a child performing for the first time.
The work of Pradan Charitable Trust is dedicated to ensuring that future generations experience Gujarati language, music, literature and cultural expression not merely as distant history, but as an active, thriving part of their everyday identity.
